Our Drop Logo Helps Raise $11,000 For Flood Relief
CASTELLI CYCLING AND SLIPSTREAM SPORTS HELPS RAISE $11,000 FOR COLORADO FLOOD RELIEF
Boulder, CO. – December 4, 2013 – With generous support from Castelli Cycling, Slipstream Sports and Open Heart Colorado, the Ptarmigan Group helped raise $11,000 for Colorado flood relief efforts. The Ptarmigan Group is a Colorado-based cycling business group who represents Castelli, as well as other cycling brands, in the Rocky Mountain region.
Following the catastrophic floods that hit Colorado in September, Boulder Cycle Sport co-founder, Brandon Dwight and Sky Van Horn of Raining Sun collaborated with Jay Ferracane of Angry Bovine to create a t-shirt logo to raise flood relief funds.
“After seeing the logo, the Ptarmigan Group approached us and asked to sell a Castelli jersey with our logo and donate all the funds to flood relief.” said Sky Van Horn, founder or Raining Sun. “We jumped at the chance knowing it would sell very well and help those in need, and we worked Castelli and Slipstream Sports who generously helped design, promote and generate sales of the jersey – all for this very important cause.”
“Funds will be directed toward the goals set by Living GREEN and Open Heart Colorado after the devastating floods in September” said Dr. Matthew King, President of Living GREEN. Dr. King also said; “Living GREEN and Open Heart Colorado have collaborated closely over the last three months and will leverage these resources for the benefit of local organic farmers in Boulder, the ditch irrigation community, and reconstruction of public lands.”
