‘Hands Free’ distracted driving bill
We need your help.
Tomorrow, January 24th 2018, is the Senate hearing for the ‘Hands Free’ distracted driving bill (SB-18-049). The hearing will take place in the State Capitol building before the Senate State, Veterans, & Military Affairs Committee at 1:30 PM upstairs in room SCR 357. We would love to have you there to show your support for this bill.
We all have a stake in making this happen. So, if you can’t make the meeting, please call or email at least one Committee member before noon tomorrow and ask for their support. Then share this with your staff, your customers, and on social media with anyone you know that rides – and wants to do it without the fear of being run over by someone talking on the phone.
Food for thought: According to CDOT in 2016 we had 40 distracted driving crashes every day. That’s one every 36 minutes.
PLEASE MAKE THE CALL.
Thank the Sponsor of the bill, Senator Lois Court, for her support.
