2019 Bikes That The BCS Staff Is Most Excited About

The BCS staff loves all the bikes that we bring into our shop, but there are always a few standouts that really get us excited. Here are the 2019 bikes that we’re most looking forward to riding this year.

BMC Fourstroke 01:

Born to surpass the demands of the world’s top XC athletes, the 2019 BMC Fourstroke 01 is a purpose-designed cross country race machine. With an industry-first Race Application Dropper (RAD) seatpost, adjustments are smooth and fast. With quick controls, you can maximize power and agility, helping you ride more dynamically. The BMC Fourstroke 01 will help you reel in the competition on the climbs and drop them on the descents.

Yeti Beti SB5:

The Yeti Beti SB5 is a 27.5” trail bike that handles both a long day of epic riding and lift served access. With the Yeti Switch Infinity suspension platform and shorter chainstays, the Beti SB5 is efficient on climbs and lively on descents. And for a 5” travel bike, the SB5 feels incredibly balanced because of its long top tube and slack 66.5-degree head angle.

Giant Trance Advanced Pro 29er 2:

The Giant Trance Advanced Pro 29er 2 is an all-new, mid-travel 29er that offers all-around trail performance. The full composite frame is fitted with Giant’s Maestro suspension that’s dialed at 115mm in the rear and 130mm up front. And the all-new geometry features progressive headtube and seat tube angles, shorter chainstays and a longer top tube which balances the speed and control of its 29-inch wheels.

BMC Alpenchallenge AMP Cross:

The BMC Alpenchallenge AMP Cross is part of the brand’s first line of e-bikes. With a carbon frame and fork, this pedal-assist e-bike is lightweight and perfect for on- and off-road riding. And with BMC’s Micro Travel Technology, you get an additional 10-mm of travel which adds an extra layer of comfort for an enjoyable ride.

Giant Quick-E+1:

Whether you’re riding to work, to the store, or around town, the Giant Quick-E+1 makes every trip fast and fun. The Quick-E+1 features a compact SyncDrive Sport motor that delivers smooth and instantaneous power which blends seamlessly to your own pedaling power. In the highest setting, the motor boots you quickly up to 28 mph. It’s fully specced for urban riding with full fenders and integrated lights that switch between day and night time modes automatically.

BMC Teammachine ALR One:

The Teammachine ALR One is the aluminum version of the popular carbon Teammachine and offers top performance at an affordable price. From city limit sprints to local crits and all-day alpine raids, the Teammachine ALR is ready for everything. The aluminum frame is stiff, lightweight and fast. Blending a high-end aluminum core with carbon components, the Teammachine ALR One is the ultimate combination of raw power transfer and carbon-tuned ride quality.

Giant Defy Advanced Pro 0 Compact:

Giant’s 2019 Defy Advanced Pro is an updated version of one of the brand’s most popular road bikes. Specifically engineered for all-day comfort, the Giant Defy Advanced Pro has a D-Fuse composite seatpost and Contact SLR D-Fuse composite handlebar that work together to reduce road shocks and vibrations without sacrificing stiffness. The frame is also set up for disc brakes and has clearance for tires up to 32c. It’s smooth and fast for your longest, hardest rides.

Liv Langma Advanced Pro 0 Disc:

Liv’s Langma Advanced Pro Disc is a lightweight racing bike that’s engineered for aggressive climbing, descending and accelerations. Sleek and lightweight, the frame combines speed, stiffness, and strength so you can conquer the climbs and power through flats, rail technical descents, or attack the group. The Langma Advanced Pro Disc provides the winning advantage for every effort, from long hilly races to fast-paced criteriums.
