This is great news because winter is the perfect time to cross train, up your flexibility game, and learn about how the breath can radically improve your results on the bike in time for spring!
Teacher: Ling TeBockhorst, CPT
Educational, thorough and challenging conditioning class using the Pilates Method. This class, designed for cyclists, will teach you how to activate your core so you can put more power to your pedals and rebalance muscular deviations caused by cycling to prevent injury (‘prehab’) and allow you find even greater joy on the bike.
A restorative class designed to stretch out tight or restricted areas to feel great on and off the bike.
Yoga for Cyclists
Teacher: Amanda Schiewe
This class is geared towards strengthening key muscles and balancing out neglected areas to help prep for the season.
Yoga teacher, personal trainer, and go-getter: Amanda’s mission is to provide a safe space to nurture your body so you can stay strong and smiling from the inside out into your golden years. Through teaching yoga, personal training, and participation in athletics, she is here to help you meet your health and wellness goals. Amanda offers a challenging, yet refreshing alignment based vinyasa practice with a focus on body awareness and intentional breathing. She will provide you with the tools to increase flexibility and build strength, while setting your foundation to lead a more expansive and conscious life. Outside of the gym or studio, you’ll find her snowboarding, trail running, or sharing yummy food and big laughs with friends.
Ling TeBockhorst, CPT –
Ling TeBockhorst has spent the last two decades working to improve the lives of clients and health club members through a varied career path that includes personal training and group fitness instruction to luxury health club management, Her focus for the past several years has been functional and sport specific training with an ever expanding toolkit that emphasizes Pilates, TRX and various forms of HIIT.
Twenty first century lifestyles are hectic and Ling looks for the most efficient and effective use of her client’s time. Using research backed methods, she’s able to design exercise programming to help her students correct muscular imbalance, prevent injury and improve movement patterns to enable them to enjoy their favorite sports and hobbies at the highest level they desire.
Since moving to the Boulder area, Ling has jumped on the bandwagon and has added running and road cycling to the many actives she enjoys in her spare time.
